Spicy meat sauce noodles 辣醬麵

We had some rain over the weekend, the weather suddenly cools down a lot. I love spicy food, even in the summer time. There is a small restaurant in the Chinatown here, and it is always so busy. You know they have good food there. One of my favorite is the spicy meat sauce with mixed vegetables over noodles. I try to reproduce it at home, so that I can also add some personal touch to it.

Ingredients (serves 2):
  • 1 cup fresh soy beans
  • 2 squares of five-spice tofu
  • 1/2 cup carrots
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 3 Shiitake mushrooms
  • 4 oz. ground pork
  • Seasoning: 1 tsp hot pepper sauce, 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1 Tbsp Worcester sauce, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, some ground pepper
  • 6 oz. noodles
Instructions:
1. Heat up two Tbsp cooking oil in pan.

2. Cook the ground pork until done.

3. Add the vegetables and mix well.

4. Add the seasonings and cook until the sauce is reduced.

5. Top the sauce over noodles.
